Christmas Celebration - December 16th
Music, Drama & Readings
Celebrating the coming of Christ, Our Lord
Holiday Reception in the Family Life Center at 7:15 PM
The Cordova Church of Christ has an interest in helping people discover that December 25th isn't the birthday of Jesus Christ. That said, we also recognize that songs regarding the birth of our Lord and Savior are never sung during the late summer months (the most probable season of Jesus' birth) since our culture views December as the "Christ-mass Season."
In response to this, we offer a musical celebration each season that focuses on the birth of Jesus Christ. Certainly if there was celebration in heaven when Christ was born, it's appropriate for us to rejoice in his coming as well.
December 16th, our evening services will be an opportunity for us to hear some of the great hymns that celebrate the coming of Jesus, enjoy the public reading of scriptures that tell us that story and remove some of the "myths of Christmas" and replace them with Biblical truth.
This program will be informational as well as a great spiritual experience for the whole family. Invite your friends and neighbors.
The program is musically a cappella and a reception with holiday treats will follow.
